21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, 22 for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. (Proverbs 25:21-22, ESV)
The original “winning the hearts and minds” of the people philosophy was given by Solomon. Do you want to know how to drive an enemy crazy? Treat him with kindness. Provide the things that he needs. Feed him. Give him the basic necessities of life. Remember this principle when you deal with the local population. But be wise while you’re doing that, protect yourselves. You can be kind and on guard at the same time. And remember, the Lord will pay you for your faithfulness – in His way.
Prayer: Lord, help me to stand with honor in the face of all difficulties.
