Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. (Proverbs 28:13, ESV)
As a child, or perhaps with your children, have you ever heard or said that “if you are honest about what happened, then I won’t be as hard on you.” When it comes to God, candor is the best policy. He will treat those who are willing to admit their failures with mercy, but those who try to cover it up, will only get in more trouble. Be honest with God, confess your sins and enjoy the mercy of God.
Prayer: Lord, I confess I am a sinner and I am in need of Your grace – even thoughI don’t deserve it.
