Resiliency Ruck 2017
On 21 July, the Bavarian Sustainment community of 16th Sustainment Brigade hosted the Resiliency Ruck and FRG Family Fun Day. The day began with a short 4-mile foot march comprised of nearly 300 service members and family members. Once the walk began, we paused every half-mile to talk through each of the Army Values and how they apply in the various contexts of spiritual fitness, equal opportunity, and sexual assault and harassment. At the close of the foot march, we gathered together one last time to talk thorough suicide prevention. Although our Soldiers receive the information on a regular basis, our family members do not. With the conclusion of the planned training elements, the companies transitioned into the FRG Family Fun Day with an information fair and a friendly sports competition among the companies.
21 July: Two of our seven instructors speaking during the Resiliency Ruck on how the Army Values are applied in various situations like equality, sexual harassment, general resiliency, and spiritually.
21 July: After the Resiliency Ruck, the Bavarian Sustainment community of the 16th Sustainment Brigade engaged in friendly competitions like Ultimate Frisbee, Tug-of-War, and Horse Shoes.
