24 If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes. (Proverbs 3:24-25, ESV)
Have you watched the movie, “George of the Jungle”? George says to Ursula, “Sleep sweet”. What a nice thought. So often it is when we lie down at night that our minds begin to fill with fear. All of the disasters of the day, all the failures that ruin our peace. At that moment, God looks down on us and says, “Sleep sweet, my child.”
Prayer: Lord, I have no fear when I place my full trust in you. You are my shield.
