Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, (1 Peter 1:22, ESV)

We are told many times in Scripture to love our neighbors, including the 2nd greatest commandment. The question that comes to mind is, “How do we define love?” Our 21st century American society has many ideas of what love looks like, but does that match God’s design. God’s kind of love considers what is best for the other person and comes without conditions. Can you express that kind of love to your neighbor?

Prayer: Lord, help me to love as you have first loved me – to forgive as you have first forgiven me.
