26 November

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, (Ephesians 4:11-12, ESV)

Have you considered what the real role of the Christian chaplain is? We often see him as a counselor, and encourager, a stuff officer, or just someone to talk to you. But his mandate before God is to assist in building God’s church here on earth. He is here to train the followers of Christ and how they are to live their lives more like Christ. Thrill your chaplain’s heart to ask him something spiritual and allow him to fulfill his mission.

Prayer: Lord, teach me what it is to be a devoted follower of Christ.
