And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:21, ESV)
Porcupines are not always alone. During November and December, they relax their quills to produce offspring. In every community there are porcupines, with sharp quills of criticism or sarcasm. We want to avoid them, but God placed us near them and commands us to even love the porcupine types. In our honest moments, we have to admit we also have quills. Ask God to help you relax yours, while you learn to love others with sharp ones.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to love others and hate my own sin (my own quills).
