Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:6, ESV)
‘House Hunters’ is a popular show on cable, and it seems like each buyer has a budget of 1.5 million while working part time as a dark-room-glue-applicator for a postage stamp company. People are enthralled by how the “rich” live their lives. It is fun to imagine being able to live so lavishly, but nothing compares to the thought of living in the House of the Creator. When Christ’s followers move in, there is never a time when they are evicted. There is no hunting. Living in the Lord’s House is a now and future hope; we can live in His presence now, and one day see his presence in front of us. Consider what it means to be in the presence of God now and forever.
Prayer: Lord, who am I, that you should be so merciful to me?
